This is the blog for Rod Roels Design, a small graphic design studio in Southern California. I have been in the graphic design industry for over 20 years and have seen and heard quite a bit in that amount of time. I would like to use that experience to be of value to more than just myself and my clients. This blog is not only intended for graphic designers and other creatives but for non-designers to learn about the design process and what to expect when doing business with a designer. I have found over the years that a great deal of time is spent by designers educating the client about many different facets of the design and printing processes. If, with some of posts here, I can alleviate anxiety some clients have when working with designers and help some designers from pulling their hair out after being asked the same question for the umpteenth time, then my time will be well spent.
And, since I like to have fun, there is also a gallery of shame. A place that will house an ever-growing museum of design disasters. I’ll try to be gentle but I don’t know what I will find over time.
If you are looking for a designer to work with, first view my online portfolio and if you like what you see, contact me so we can speak further about your needs.
So thanks for stopping by. I hope you like what you find here and possibly become an active member of this community.
